3.-Helping to produce knowledge and make visible research experiences capable of contributing to the qualification and improvement of training processes for young people at the technical, higher and postgraduate levels.

This is possible because of the conceptual structure of the festival which is composed of eleven (11) groups of activities, each of them represented in its eleven rays logo-sun.

These groups are:

It’s a gathering of two or three days in which researchers, ceramics teachers and students at the technical and master levels meet to get to know each other and to socialize their experiences of professional training, routes of pedagogical, methodological and didactic exploration, systematization of educational  practices, educational texts (manuals, book-albums, etc.), journalistic articles, biographies, case studies, original results of research processes and reflections on children, young people and adults training. Its main objective is to detect and disseminate texts of high level of elaboration.

Ninety minute informative educational conferences especially designed so that during their first twenty minutes the lecturer socializes and gives information about techniques, processes or history of ceramics. And the remaining time is dedicated to answering questions of those who heard him.

Pedagogical activities with a minimum of three hours in a row and a maximum of nine hours divided into three sessions, through which people are guided to know and develop their own methods, concepts, techniques, materials and processes, both on making ceramics, as well as on the educational aspect with children, young people and adults.

FICC-2018 will have two spaces for dialogue that will last three hours and in which university and cultural institutions will meet young people and professionals interested in creating agreements, know curricula, projects, exchange systems, scholarships, etc.

They are spaces in which both ceramist peoples, as well as creators and representative works with historical and patrimonial value of the ceramic culture are made known in a context that allows us to make them public. At FICC-2018, it is a matter of registrations for the wide circulation of exhibitions that will be carried out by educational or cultural institutions between September 2018 and August 2020, in any city or country, and they will be permanently promoted through FICC promoting strategies and through museographic proposals (temporary or permanent) that can be chosen to be done with donor-sponsor-FICC support.

As of 2018, it will be an experience offered by certain places where special Colombian coffees are offered and there will be cups made by artists and artisans, both Colombian and foreign.

Events that will last three hours through which people with a trajectory of more than fifteen years working with ceramics and their educational or investigative processes, tell us about how they perform or carried out their works. Sometimes they allow us to participate in some of their daily activities: analysis in archaeological laboratories, handling or opening of a furnace, enameling of pieces, preparation of clays, modeling of pieces, drawing of plans, guiding in museums, etc. In such a way that they contribute as experiential elements for the diffusion and knowledge of their work.

A strategy to promote the range of installations, interventions, collaborative proposals, happenings, performances and other creations that can be produced when the ceramic culture (people, objects, processes, materials, etc.) is the axe of research, creation and reflection.

An area of promotion-enjoyment of audiovisual creations, videos, films and animations (cartoon, stop motion, etc.) around topics of the ceramic culture. These are elaborated by the ceramists themselves, as well as by professionals in graphic design, audiovisual production, cinema, social communication, visual and plastic arts and related fields.

In the 2018 version it will be an international directory of workshops for cultural and educational institutions of archeological, artistic, craft and industrial ceramics that have the conditions to welcome people of all nationalities interested in exchanging and supporting this research.

In the version 2018 it will be an international catalog of promotion of all the places in which it is possible to buy pottery of great quality.

How was FICC born?

It is one of the results of the research that its coordinator has been doing since 2006 around the concepts created by the German artist Joseph Beuys (Social plastic, social sculpture and social art), from and for the ceramic culture.

For this reason, it makes use of all the potential of social creation that the ceramic culture has; it motivates the construction of desired futures, constitutes effective ways of education, strengthens markets, seeks to make contributions to the mental and spiritual progress of mankind and tends to cultivate the relations among all human beings.

The objective is to be able to guarantee the society the conscious, creative and permanent use of the historical, patrimonial, technical, technological, aesthetic, educational and economic wealth possessed by the ceramic culture and its possibilities in the recovery of identity, promotion of new knowledge and cultivation of individual and collective sensitivity.

FICC articulates the best practices in the management of ceramics such as Les Journées de la cerámique, Café-Cerámique, Route Ateliers-Ouvert, ExhibitionTERRE- 1982, National Meeting of Argentinian Ceramists, Ceramic Festival of Cunha- Brazil and International Seminar A CERÂMICA NA ARTE-EDUCAÇÃO, among others.
